Disk Cleaner-Best Cleanup App App Reviews

I went from 3GB free to over 50GB free in just a couple minutes. I had no idea I had so much extra garbage stored on this mac.

Beware, very dangerous software. Running it just once, of course freed up much disk space, but it also wiped out all of the bookmarks and addon’s in my Safari and Firefox browsers.

I checked the application logs to be cleaned(Nothing else) and pressed clean. It cleaned all my Downloads folder :(. I lost all data. To the developers : Please get some UI/UX lessons. and clean only that the stuff that I tick for cleaning.

This app is amazing. I can’t belive I had so many unneccesary files on my mac. I was going to delete pictures and music, but just by some of the documents this app suggested, I get to keep all my photos and music and I cleared half of my storage! Great app. Plus it’s free which is nice.

Good app, does what it claims to do and it does it well. It is not specific enough about the caches and things that it would delete. Overall, a good app.

Very quick way to free up large amounts of space.

I’ve been a long time user/supporter of Disk Cleaner, but I recently updated my Mac to El Capitan and every time I try to open Disk Cleaner, it crashes immediately! Needs an update to support El Capitan!

At least it makes an attempt to remove apps.It leaves a residual of left ove files.I expected that to occur from watching a YOUTUBE Video on deleting OS X Apps.The video had some good tips.Eventually I’ll get there.When I down loaded, Mac EL Capitan OS X - I also had to download a Java upgrade which wiped out my hard drive space.

For some reason the app fails to see the contents of the Trash so despite having large video files ready for deletion, the scan fails to see them!

The uninstaller only sees files in the root of the Applications directory, not those in Applications/subfolders. The uninstaller “+” (plus) function also only works for the root level of the Applications folder

I love this app. I use it at my campus tech support job and it’s fixed every issue so far. Many students come in with safari adware and this tools easily takes care of it. It’s also perfect for uninstalling applications. I hate the way of dragging the application to the trash as it leaves behind additional files, this app fixes that problem. The only issue I have with this app is that it takes a good 20 seconds for all the apps in the uninstall list to full load. I’m caught each time scrolling down time and time again as the list slowly reveals itself. If you fix this (save a cache of the applications each time?) this app will be perfect. Thanks!

This app works well enough for me. Not going into a bunch of technical jargon here. It cleans several directories at once. Alleviating the pain of manually searching and deleting the unused, unwanted, and annoying disk consuming files myself.. So good job Dev Team - Keep it up and dont break it with any future updates. Thank you :-)

I was looking for an app that would uninstall all the junk apps and this does the trick. Great job!
